Dr. Carolyn Maxfield, DC
Founder
When Dr. Maxfield first saw a chiropractor at the age of 13 because of a gymnastics injury, she was introduced to a holistic lifestyle and approach. Through her experience, she learned the importance of whole food nutrition and supplementation— something that changed her forever, fueling a passion for helping people find health from the inside out. She received her Bachelors in Exercise Science from Ohio State University and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic.
When Dr. Maxfield was diagnosed with endometriosis, she did not seek conventional medicine. Instead, through chiropractic care and specific natural supplementation, she overcame endometriosis, adrenal fatigue, and a spiral of other hormone problems.
Her goal is preventative care, not waiting until symptoms appear. She specializes in hormone imbalances and symptoms, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, lowered immune system and responses, and thyroid imbalances, both hypo and hyper.
Becca Potter, MS, NTP
Practitioner
After being given numerous diagnoses that included GERD, Crohn’s, anxiety disorder, ulcers and others, Becca quickly realized the approach she had been taking was only offering new pills to calm her symptoms and she wanted a more natural, root cause approach. After trying an elimination diet and numerous whole food-based supplements, her symptoms from her Crohn’s, heart palpitations, anxiety, hormone imbalances, and so much more were no longer present and her passion for helping others was started.
This experience made such an impact that she went back to school with the Nutritional Therapy Association to become a certified Functional Nutrition Therapy Practitioner so she could help others find their way back to health again, too. Becca combines both alternative and functional medicine approaches when helping others find their ways back to health again. Believing that treating the cause of the condition, rather than just the symptoms, is the only way to truly feel health, Becca focuses on nutrition, emotional wellness, lifestyle changes, and whole food supplements to help the body heal itself.
Her passion & areas of expertise are: gastrointestinal disorders, adrenal health (anxiety, stress, fatigue), family wellness, and LOVES working with children and new moms. She is recently completed a Master's in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine.
Kelli Thomas, ND
Practitioner
Born and raised in the great state of Michigan, Kelli has been in Nashville TN since 1990. She completed her Bachelors in Chemistry at David Lipscomb University and went on to acheive her Doctorate in Naturopathy from Trinity School of Natural Health. Having her own powerful experience from simply adding whole food nutritional supplements/herbs to her daily regimen is what brought her to this field of wellness. She believes in prevention and creating a solid foundation for wellness to thrive.
She finds through this process that her clients become more educated and in tune with their bodies, therefore, making daily decisions more tailored towards their goals. She supports clients with a variety of challenges such as immune, cardiovascular, endocrine, and others. She enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, outdoor activities, helping others and continuing her studies in herbal remedies and clinical nutrition.
Brooks Perkins, LMT
LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST + intuitive healing practitioner
After receiving her bachelor's degree in psychology, Brooks studied health and wellness coaching which encompasses nutrition, exercise, and cognitive behavior therapy. She became a licensed massage therapist and has gained an extensive amount of experience through her life’s journey. She thought it was critical to understand how to help others stay connected and listen to what not only their bodies need, but also what impacts their mind and soul. When we can tune in to the signals our physical and energetic bodies are telling us, we can respond better with what is needed. Creating wellness through various combinations of massage therapy, intuitive, empathetic and holistic internal and external healing techniques, is what she can help you do!
As a skilled massage therapist and intuitive healer, she helps people clear even unconscious negative, hurt and pain from their body, and release what they've been holding on to. She looks forward to each healing journey she has the honor of going on with those that allow massage therapy to become part of their whole self healing.
Betsy Dillman, RN, BSN
CRANIOSACRAL FASCIAL THERAPY
Betsy completed her degree in nursing from The University of Texas- Health Science Center in Houston. As an RN, BSN, her experience as a NICU and pediatric trauma nurse helped instill a deep love for little ones and passion to best support their families.
After several mysterious family health concerns, she began to research and dive into alternative modalities for general wellness and health. As a practitioner trained in Western medicine, outside of the box thinking has made a big difference for her family and her. Along the way, she discovered Craniosacral Fascial Therapy and began providing support for her own family and friends, unwinding fascial strain, and easing symptoms of all kinds. She looks forward to sharing this experience with others.
While passionate about babies and children, she also sees the need for whole family integration into wellness in ways that were not available in generations past. She has a heart for helping others, equipping parents, and encouraging when she can. Betsy has enjoyed homeschooling her children and is excited about this next season of life. She enjoys time with her family, gardening, church activities, and connecting with others.
