Christmastime is full of fun and exciting things, but even GOOD things can stress our minds and bodies! Your body reacts the same to physical, mental and emotional stress. So when your uncle and niece exchange words about politics at the dinner table, your body is losing vitamins, minerals, and energy in order to compensate for the stress. Everything is connected! Just think about the way your posture changes in those moments of mental or emotional stress- your back caves and shoulders bunch up. Your pulse rate heightens and your palms get sweaty. That is your BODY responding to emotional stress!
